Where you find contentment with your finances.

How I became a financial coach…

I graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in management.  From there I worked as a bookkeeper and manager of the family business.  After 10 years I moved to FL and worked at a tax office for 12 years doing after the fact bookkeeping for 25+ businesses.  During this time, I also learned many facets of payroll, sales tax, general tax information etc.  I could answer a lot of questions about tax returns even though I wasn’t a preparer.  Clients loved the patience I provided them with while they tried to understand bookkeeping or taxes.  While at the tax office I saw people who were enjoying their life and retirement because of the hard work they put into their finances and living below their means.  I also saw the other side of that picture as well which was one of stress and worry.  During my job there I always kept my ears open so that I could follow in the footsteps of those enjoying the “fruits of their labor” and planning ahead.

Eventually I started looking for a change and decided to pursue new ideas as April 2023, after that  I enjoyed some free time traveling while exploring ideas of what my next career would be.  When looking back at my jobs, my passions, and what I was looking for in a career I decided financial coaching was a path for me based on the knowledge I already had personally and professionally while embracing my love of helping others learn something new or achieve something.   In December 2023 I received my certificate of completion for Ramsey Financial Coach Master Training. In January 2024 I became a member of the Ramsey Preferred Coaching Network. Which means – I receive additional support as a coach and have access to other coaches so if there’s a question I can’t answer I can help get you the answer.

When not financial coaching, I love traveling with my husband of 15 years and our 14 year old dog by embracing the great outdoors via walking, biking, kayaking, camping and exploring many national parks and cities. I also love to read or spend time with family/friends.

I look forward to helping you on your journey to achieve the financial goals you set for you (and your family). Along the way I will share with you my experiences that will help assist you in looking at things from a new prospective to reach those goals. Together you will see your hard work and new skills pave the way for success for years to come.
